Day 12 Santo Domingo de la Calzada to Belorado

Got going early, however has been a fairly slow day. Not due to difficulty, it’s been fairly easy walking and the temperature was comfortable this morning. More just taking it easy while walking, and having more reflective conversations. Even the towns we have passed through have seemed fairly sleepy. Landscape is dominated by sunflower fields, which have all just lost their petals.

We grabbed a nice coffee in Grañon, and lunch from an albergue donativo bar- chorizó bocadillo.

After lunch mainly walking next to the highway which wasn’t overly pretty, the clouds burnt off, so the left sided tanning continues!

Arrived at our Albergue, which looks well set up and has a pool! $19 euro each for a 4-bunk room, optional pilgrims menu dinner for $17 euro.
